Assignment 9A - Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2
Who: After interviewing different people, I learned some new information but most of the conversations were similar to the ones I had previously had. People outside of this boundary would include people who don't go to the gym, people with rigid schedules where gym capacity does not affect their decision to go, people with physical disabilities that can't go to the gym, and gyms owners that wish to keep this information private. I had not considered the fact that some gym owners may not want the data of how many people are in their gym to be public information. While I still think that most gyms would go for this idea, there will definitely be some that will not. I had assumed all gyms wouldn't have a problem with that information being public.
What: There are still some people that would not want the information as it is too insignificant to impact their decision to go to the gym or not.
Why: I feel that this need is catered to people who have an active interest in going to the gym. People who do not care or do not have time won't use this app and it most likely won't encourage most of them to go.

| To encourage people to go | To discourage people to go | |
| Why: | People have busy schedules | People don't want to go either way |
Hi Jacob. I love this idea because I am constantly going into the gym while it is crowded with people ultimately causing me to just want to leave. I agree that there are a lot of people who just do not like to go to the gym so they definitely lay outside the boundary. Additionally, I think it would be difficult convincing gym owners to share the current capacity. However, the idea is genius and I'd love to know if you make progress.
ReplyDeleteHey Jacob,
ReplyDeleteI still really do like this idea, especially after this assignment. After last week, I was totally on board and now it's pretty apparent that there is quite the audience for this as well. There does not seem to be much of a group who are just outside the boundary unlike many other ideas, including my own. I am excited to see this idea fully flushed out and how it continues to grow throughout the semester.
