Assignment 14A - Halfway Reflection
- What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
- One helpful behavior to have with this course is the determination to finish things well ahead of the deadline. If you can find time earlier in the week or on a weekend to knock out multiple assignments, your life will be a lot easier.
- Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
- To be honest, I felt like giving up on this assignment. I have a very busy schedule and am gone every weekend and have to make time for this course, but I decided to pull through and write this assignment. The motivating factor is getting an A in this class. All I have to do is put in the time and work and I can get the A. I will be going to the extra credit as well and am trying not to miss that many assignments.
- What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset'?
- This biggest tip I can give you is to find motivation for this course, whether it be to learn actual entrepreneurial knowledge or just to get an A. Both are easily achievable if you put in the time. As I stated before, my other tip is to start assignments well in advance, perhaps even during syllabus week. I plan on using my Spring Break to try to get ahead on some of these assignments. As a final tip, use the feedback you get from people in your group to motivate you to be one step closer to a final product.
This image relates to a tenacious mindset. Be determined to achieve your goals.

Hey Jacob,
ReplyDeleteI think that your tip about finishing assignments earlier is a very good idea. I often find myself forgetting to work ahead and then it's Friday and I have three assignments waiting for me. I feel much more relaxed when I pace my assignments throughout the week, along with helping me feel better about my other classes' assignments.
Hi Jacob,
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your first point. Getting assignments done early is absolutely a great thing to do especially for this class. There is no extension for assignments and the assignments are almost all of your grade, so it is imperative that you don’t miss assignments. The motivating factor to do assignments is to get an A for me as well. If I miss one assignment I might not get an A and this is too easy of a class to get lower than an A.
